Handmade Sheep Card

Handmade Sheep Card

Sheep Birthday Card for Mumsie

Colouring the Sheep

I first stamped the Sheep images on to Water Colour paper. I then used water based fibre pens as water colours to paint the stamped image. I needed a palette to put the colour on to so I found a large yohgurt top lid. I scribbled the marker pen on to the lid then a small paint briush and water to pick up some of the colour.

I needed to highlight some area on the sheep so I used my Metallic water colour paints to colour sections on the sheep to give some shiney highlights.

Building up the card design

I used the colourings on the sheep as a base to build the card design. I felt a yellow back ground but needed a contrast. I used a cirlce die to cut out the corner cirlce. I needed a second colour, purple seemed like the best idea so I used some light and dark purple to die cut the Happy Birthday wording.

I added fake stitching to the yellow back ground paper with a black fine liner pen. I then felt I needed more content on the card. I then used my new background stamps. I stamped the circles using a silver ink pad then used my Versa Ink Black stamp pad to add the backgroup dots.

I felt the card was starting to some together now. I raised the yellow paper up by using adhesive foam pads. I added some foam pads to the sheeps legs to stop it’s legs from dangling off of the circle.

I am really happy with the design and colouring on the card. I hope my Mum likes it 🙂

Please let me know in the comments if you would like further informtion on the creation of the card. I am still getting used to blogging, I am hoping the more I blog , the easier it will be for me.
