Purple Nurple Birthday Card

A Birthday card made today.

This was made using an embossed a piece of Purple metallic card which I did using the Swiss Dots embossing folder in my Cuttlebug.
I then used peel offs for the Happy Birthday message.
The faux stitching was created using a Silver Signo Gel pen.
The flower was made using a variation of die’s:
– Sissix Buttons die
– Sissix Flower die
– Marianne Creatable (I just used the foliage part)
Full details of the die’s listed above are listed under a previous post.
I feel I am getting stuck in the same old design at the moment. Will have to get a new vibe going for my next creation.

Twas the night before Christmas

This weekend’s card design is a Christmas card based on the good old saying ‘Twas the night before Christmas’.

A few new purchases which I used on this card were:
– Marianne D Creatables Swirl, Circle
– Marianne D Creatables Poinsetta Miniature (LR0142)
I used a silicone mat to emboss the metal Marianne stencils but I am not that happy with it at all. It just about did the job but it got damaged in the process. Would not recommend getting this for that job! 😦
The faux stitching was created using a Silver sparkly gel pen and the candle stamp was coloured using water colours.

Todays Birthday Card

Whilst Brandon was having his lunch time nap today I started to design my next creation, again using the new items purchased this week (mentioned in my last blog).

The backing paper used was a freebie downloaded from ‘Card Making and Paper Craft‘ then printed at home. Design was Floral Fever from issue 82.
The ribbon used was purchased on a reel from Hobbycraft. The Faux stitching around the ‘Happy Birthday was marked in a pink Souffle pen. The Pink was embossed in Swiss Dots in the Cuttlebug.

New Birthday card just made

I recently bought new die’s to use with my Cuttlebug I received for my birthday. I bought:

I wanted to get stuck in straight away and had the perfect opportunity as a relatives birthday was fast approaching! I actually managed to use all my new purchases in this card 🙂
The Happy Birthday sentiment was created in a Graphics software ‘Gimp‘ which is free to download. I am thoroughly enjoying making cards – Woo Hoo!
